Events you'll enjoy.
Things are constantly happening at HSVB&IRC. Our «calendar» is full of
activities - ranging from frequent dog training classes to seminars and
fundraising events. Plus, we try to keep you posted about the many happenings
through our website and our social networking connections at «Facebook» and
«Twitter» as well as our email list.

In the beginning...
The first "Cause for Paws" event was founded by one of our dearest
friends and strongest
 supporters,
the late Jane King. It was her foresight and determination that helped
"Cause for Paws" evolve into the success it is today. The event
originally began as the "Art Auction" held in 1985 at Sea Oaks. The
event netted $5,000 for its 50 pieces of framed art which benefited the
Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County.

The Cause For Paws Charity Auction: On March 27, 2010, the Vero Beach
Museum of Art hosted the twenty-sixth anniversary Cause For
Paws. Proceeds raised at the event went to support the more than
7,000 animals cared for by HSVB&IRC each year.
Again this year, Cause for Paws provided
attendees with a unique selection of silent auction items featuring trips,
fine art, jewelry and antiques amid an atmosphere of complimentary wine, open
bar and bountiful hors d'oeuvres. Later in the evening, the bidding began
for an open auction selling magnificent trips, world-class art, and more. Raffles of elegant prizes
were offered, too.
No doubt, our 27th Annual Cause For Paws in March, 2011, will
again be the highlight of the area's social calendar!
The Cause For Paws Preview Party: On Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010,Orchid Island Beach Club
served as the site of the Preview Party enjoyed by Humane Society Grand Patrons,
Benefactors and Major Benefactors. This
year's Preview Party featured many lovely silent auction treasures
available for bidding and immediate purchase.
