Helping Our American Heroes and Pets Create New Beginnings Together
We are proud of our American heroes and what they do to keep our country safe. That is why we are honored to offer heroes a discount on all animal’s adoption through our Pets for Heroes Adoption Program.
First responders, current servicemen/women, and veterans can receive discounts on their adoption fees. The adoption fees for animals one year of age and older is 50% off, and the adoption fee for animals younger than one year is 10% off. In addition, any patron pet is 50% off.
To Qualify
If you are a first responder, current serviceman/woman, or a veteran, please let one of our pawsitive placement team members know at the time of adoption. We will ask for proof at the time of adoption.
Restrictions
- This program allows for one adoption per hero, though some exceptions may apply (for example, when a bonded pair is being adopted).
- We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone for any reason.
- Only the qualifying hero is eligible for a discount adoption, and must adopt in person at our shelter. This discount is not transferable and may not be shared with a friend or family member.
