The Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County is in the midst of an unprecedented crisis. Overcrowding has stretched our shelter to the limit, and many of the animals coming into our care are in need of urgent medical attention. With more pets being surrendered every day, we are struggling to provide the basic necessities and medical care these animals desperately need.
We need your support now more than ever. Together, we can raise $250,000 to ensure that every animal gets a second chance.
Overcrowding at the Shelter
Every day, more pets are being surrendered to our shelter due to economic pressures, housing restrictions, and job loss. Our facility is now over capacity, with animals being housed in every available space. This crisis has left us scrambling to provide adequate care, and the stress on our resources is overwhelming.
Despite the challenges, we remain committed to ensuring each pet receives the love, care, and shelter they deserve. We have taken in more animals than ever before, but without additional support, we risk falling short of our mission. We can’t turn away animals in need, but we also can’t continue without your help.
Urgent Medical Needs for Vulnerable Animals
The crisis goes beyond overcrowding. Many of the animals arriving at our shelter require immediate medical care for serious health conditions. From surgeries to life-saving treatments, our team is working tirelessly to heal these animals, but our resources are rapidly depleting.
Our clinic needs critical medical equipment to provide proper care for the growing number of animals with complex medical needs. Without it, we won’t be able to offer the life-saving treatments so many of these pets require. Your donation will ensure that no animal is turned away and that each receives the medical attention they deserve.
We Need Your Help to Unleash Hope
This crisis is bigger than we can manage alone, but with your support, we can overcome overcrowding and ensure that every animal gets a fighting chance.
Your donation to the Unleashing Hope campaign will go directly toward expanding our capacity and providing essential medical care to vulnerable pets. Together, we can raise $150,000 to rescue, heal, and rehome these animals.
