In July, Eddie arrived at our shelter, a stray whose life had been marked by hardship. He was just 32 pounds, flea-infested, and suffering from severe diarrhea. Despite his frail condition and raw patches of missing fur, Eddie’s eyes sparkled with a glimmer of hope, as if he knew he was finally safe.

With unwavering care and love, Eddie’s transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. Now a healthy 44 pounds, flea-free, and with a coat that’s filling in, his spirit shines brighter than ever. But Eddie’s journey isn’t over yet—he still needs heartworm treatment to complete his recovery.

Last Saturday at our Clear The Shelter event, a couple came in specifically to meet Eddie. They were moved by his story and saw the incredible light within him. After their meeting with Eddi, they decided to adopt him, giving him the forever home he always deserved!

HSVB will cover all of his heartworm treatments, and we’ve already scheduled appointments for him to continue his care. Eddie deserves the best, and we won’t rest until he gets it.

However, Eddie’s journey and the journeys of countless animals like him, can’t happen without you. The care that Eddie has received, from his first meal to his ongoing medical treatments, is made possible by the generosity of our community. We need YOUR help to continue saving lives.
